A: For 2024 these dates determine the age group a player is eligible to play:
U8 – Born before 30th April 2017
U9 – Born on or after 1st January 2015
U10 – Born on or after 1st January 2014
U11 – Born on or after 1st January 2013
U12 – Born on or after 1st January 2012
U13 – Born on or after 1st January 2011
U14 – Born on or after 1st January 2010
U15 – Born on or after 1st January 2009
U16 – Born on or after 1st January 2008
Youth Boys (U17.5) – Born on or after 1st July 2006 (players born between 1st Jan and 30th Jun may be eligible for a permit)
Youth Girls – Born on or after 1st January 2006

A: Games are mainly played on Sundays between April – September. The season varies from 14-16 home and away games, then finals from U11s upwards. U8s, U9s & U10s do not have finals. The 2023 season dates can be found here.

A: We have two grounds where training and most home games are played. They are:
Ivanhoe Park, 153 The Boulevard East Ivanhoe
Ford Park, Cnr Davidson St & Perkins Ave Bellfield

A: Girls can play in mixed teams with boys up to and including U14s. After this, girls must play in girls only competitions.

A: No, there is no requirement to have participated in Auskick to play junior football.

A: 2024 Fees Early bird registration fees for registrations up until 31 December 2023:
Ages U8 - U10 $329.20*
Boys U11 - U18 $375.00*
Girls U11 - U18 $200.00*
*Registrations from 1 January 2024 increase by $25 per category. Fees include the YJFL fee of $192 per season. A 25% discount is offered for the Ivanhoe JFC component for 2nd and subsequent children.

A: Ivanhoe JFC respects that financial hardship is something that some families experience and we do not wish to see children missing out on sport for this reason. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please send an email to ijfcsecretary@gmail.com for a confidential conversation.

A: Junior footballers will be provided a loan jumper, to be handed back at the end of the season. Players will need black IJFC football shorts and black IJFC football socks that can be purchased from the Merchandise Shop. Players will also need football boots and a mouthguard to play.

A: Auskick ages are 5 - 12 years old. Most children move to junior football at U8s or U9s. Children can participate in Auskick and also play junior football.
